“In the glorious nineties Dub Gabriel was the bass-player-to-call in New York City. He well known for working alongside artists such as Bill Laswell, Scientist, and Public Enemy. He later journeyed to San Fransisco to create his very own definition of electronic bass music, using the sounds of jamaican reggae legend U-Roy and R.E.M.’s Micheal Stipe as vocalists. He has returned to Berlin for a short stop to play an exclusive night at ICON which also features a set by “breakcore god” (berliner zeitung) Jason Forrest aka DJ Donna Summer and selected dubstep / tropical beats from DJ Zhao… a line-up not to be missed!”
