Namibia’s femme fatale Lady May with new album

There was always a lot of talk about the award winning Lady May – she knows how to create a controversy in her country Namibia. After some spectacular appearances on various stages and on TV (like “Big Brother Africa Star”) she now just released another album with the Berlin based music label Faluma Africa.

Lady May aka Martha Namundjebo stands for a nice mixture of Afro Pop and Traditional Oshiwambo Music with an Urban twist.
The last albums had a stronger House and Kwaito influences, while most of the tunes on “Crazy Desires” have a more Pop/RnB feel. Again she worked with renowned producers, including K-Boz, Elvo and Arrafath. That team guarantuees the typical Lady May fingerprint – and there’re some bad slammers – check those two songs and nod your head to it:

Lady May is not a local phenomenon: besides many appearances in other African countries, also on TV shows like “Big Brother Africa (BBA)”, or winning the “Channel O Music Video Award”, she is just became “Face of the month” in the Nigerian magazine Vergeria Lounge this September.
