Before the Caribbean island of Barbados again jumps into the new Carnival season (called “Cropover” with the great parade in Bridgetown – “Kadooment”), we want to put some spotlight on this remix project:
The legendary Soca singer Anderson Armstrong aka Blood, former lead-singer in the band Square One (together with Alison Hinds) and now part of Soka Kartel, has been remixed by some household names of the Tropical Bass scene:
SoShifty, Poirier, Max Le Daron, Murlo, Kingsize Noize, Andrès Digital and Marflix.
This project was initiated by the Berlin based Soca label Faluma. Faluma, celebrating it’s 10th anniversairy this summer, is releasing and distribution Blood’s albums and compilations for many years.
The cover artwork was done by 263art.
