Our friends over at Akwabaa Music just started a remix contest for Jali Bakary Konteh’s track ‘Combination’ from his debut album ‘Konteh Kunda’. Konteh is a next generation griot singer from Gambia who also plays the Kora (a traditional west african harp-lute, which is made from a calabash) but with added sax and drums giving his music a certain funky touch.
All you have to do for the remix contest is check out the rules and get the tune over at Akwabaa, upload your version on fairtilizer and keep your fingers crossed for a release :).
