Last year – 2013 – was no doubt a break-through for Bunji Garlin when it comes to international success and recognition.
Already a superstar in the Caribbean and it’s diaspora for many years, the “Soca Viking” made it with the Sheriff Production (aka Keron Thompson) smasher “Differentology” into mainstream. Seems the dark atmosphere of the tune, combined with Carnival lyrics (refering to getting ready for the Carnival procession) hit some nerves and made it’s way from clubs and radios in Europe around the world.
Released over a year ago on November 2012 for Trinidad Carnival in February.
For the multi Soca Monarch winner Bunji Garlin this was the year where over 10 years work payed off. Just recently he won the Hot97 Battle of the Beats.
