Skanking Spoek, daning devil and feeding dominatrixes – this is the video for “Don’t Mean To Be Rude” in short summary. It’s the third single of the “Mshini Wam” album and was released as EP yesterday.
The tune is driven by a rudely accelerated skank courtesy of London bass rangers LV (most widely known for their genre defying releases on Hyperdub). Canadian avant soul singer Zaki Ibrahim plays the co-conspirator on the bassy nugget adding something sweet to Spoek’s gutter mouth party song.
