The new year starts with a bang as we have a guest in the studio: Mataklap of the infamous Bomb Diggy Crew. This spontaneous session back2back style is the perfect medicine for lethargic January.

Grande finale 2011 for Riddims Tropicale. DJ Silent Pressure (you already know him from #16) came over to the studio to have some cool drinks and wobbly basses. No special topic this time, just rocking back to back, strictly genre-hopping and having fun. Over 2 and a half hours of tropical ping-pong starting with some nice Semba from Angola moving over to Soca, Bass, Kuduro, Mambo, Funky, House, Zouglou, Reggaeton, 3ball, Tropical and so on. The whole session ends – how else could it be in December – with a quick Parang session, Trinidad’s own christmas music everybody enjoys.

The recipe for brewing a UK Funky tune might not be overly complicated but the result is quite enjoyable. And since this tune was requested a couple of times I just thought why not give it away for free before it ends up collecting dust on my HD. Anyway…feel free to spread the link, love it or hate on it.
If you ask for my humble opinion this song is just sick sick sick! Donaeo keeps on doing big chune after big chune. “So fly” will be part of the upcoming album released next month, 26th July 2010. Can’t wait to play this in the clubs.
