Lisbon-based producer and DJ Diamond Bass is about to drop his second release on Enchufada tomorrow (that’s a Juno exclusive, full release on all other plattforms will follow on December 12th). “Lwanda” is a tribute to Angola’s capital whose musical spirit can be felt in Lisbon’s everyday life, accented with a strong focus on UK Bass and Garage to make up for some heavy Tropical Bass bangers.
Beside the title track “Lwanda”, a catchy dance floor filler with a decent UK Funky feel, the release contains two more tunes. “Show Me” keeps things moving with the half-step beat and fat sub-bass one normally associates with dubstep, but the hypnotic synth line creeps in to let us know we’re in for a different kind of ride. Somewhere between Kuduro and Dubstep, in a sort of dark tropical vibe, this one is sure shot too. Highlight for all the percussion-lovers out there will be the bonus-track “Animal”.
To get you into the right mood Diamond Bass prepared a free mixtape, instant favorite over here by the way: LWANDA Mixtape by DIAMOND BASS
