Heavyfeet – Here we go again

Posted on 03 October 2010 by Jelka

The Heavyfeet guys from Manchester really manage to bring back the Garage/2Step vibe around the turn of the millenium. Sweet diva House vocals, tricky synths and breaks and samples, tempo-driven and bouncy.

The video for “Here we go again” was shot in the Lower East Side at aNYthing Jerk dancing competition – honestly, I definitely wanna go there some day! Jerkin’ with it’s mixtures of Tectonic/Jumpstyle and Breakdance moves is awesome, word!

“Here we go again” is part of the freshly released Stardust & Sultanas EP – get a taste of it with this minimix:

Hostile – Madman Dubs Vol.1

Posted on 26 March 2010 by Leub

Since everyone loves the fusion between electronic music styles and jamaican dancehall this is a must have release by Wales based Grime/Garage and Hip Hop DJ and producer Hostile. His new Mixtape “Madman Dubs Vol.1″ features 10 full-length Dancehall Remixes he did in the past weeks and months. Every single one is wicked, but to get a impression first listen to “Dash Fire” via soundcloud, i have no doubt that you will grab the whole thing afterwards.

Dexplicit: Latest Work

Posted on 08 March 2010 by Leub

At the moment the multi talented Dexplicit is one of my favourit producers from the UK. You can’t limit his style to just one genre, Dexplicit does everything the British people love, from Garage to Grime and from Dubstep to UK Funky.
I like to share some of his latest Tunes with you (stream only). The first two are Grime/Dancehall/Dubstep – Crossover Tunes featuring Shizzle, a MC i really like but didn’t hear anything new since 2007. I’m glad he’s back! One of these Tunes features the awesome Lady Stush as well!
The third Tune is his official remix of Natalie Storm’s “Look Pon Me” which is on the Jumeirah 12″ by Sticky.
And the last one is his latest Tune, a rnb song featuring Grime MC Black The Ripper amongst others on a Bassline House Beat. Yes, Bassline is not dead, yet!
Also watch out for his upcoming Bassline Production with Grime singer Lauren Mason “Foolish”. Mad Tune!
