It’s been a busy year for Schlachthofbronx, and a bad-ass successful one too: 2 EP releases on Mad Decent (Nasty Bass and the Chambacu Remix EP), a North-America tour with gigs at Austin’s SXSW, cracking the 10.000 fans on Facebook benchmark and rocking the whole festival summer as every year.
Next Tuesday, August 9th, we all will find another reason to love this Munich guys, when their latest release on Mixpak Records is due to drop, named “Mudders”. After embracing Whatever-Bass and Cumbia with their latest releases, “Mudders” and “Wave and Wine” are going the hard way melting Soca and Bounce, strictly 165 bpm, strictly raving, strictly craziness.
While “Mudders” works as a nice wake-up call, armed with sirens and a jumping synths interlude to make every glow-stick kid go crazy, “Wave and Wine” brings in the Tropical Bass feel with a heavy Caribbean touch. The combination with Ghanaian vocalist duo Ruff n Smooth (you remember “Azingele”?) is all about Soca Jump-up style going mental asylum. The potential anthem for Notting Hill Carnival becomes even more interesting in the remix work by Bass heavy-weights Toddla T and Canblaster & Myd. While Toddla slows the whole thing down with a dubbed and screwed version, the Club Cheval artists are turning all that madness upside down in a Parisian House/Clubbing extravaganza.
